2016 Family Forests Education Award
The 2016 Family Forest Education Awards were presented at the NAUFRP General Assembly meeting in Madison, WI on November 2nd. We had a banner year with numerous high-quality entries. The panel of judges from across the country was impressed by both the quantity and quality of the work. We appreciate all the entries received this year and encourage all to submit an entry next year.
We have two awards each year: (1) the comprehensive forest education award, and (2) the specific program award. In 2016, the winners were as follows:
- Comprehensive Program Award – The Pennsylvania State University
- Specific Program Award – Healthy Hardwoods Program, University of Tennessee
Our congratulations to the winners!! While we can’t celebrate all programs each year, we know there is a substantial amount of excellent educational programming being provided across the country. Thanks to all who are involved in these efforts.
