On April 22, NAUFRP joined the Association of Public Land Grant Universities (APLU) and 40 other national and regional organizations in signing a letter sent to the House Speaker, Senate Majority Leader, Senate Minority Leader, and House Minority Leader with copies to the House and Senate Agriculture Committees and Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittees requesting $380 million for NIFA in a future supplemental bill.
Fiscal Year 2021 appropriations priorities requests by NAUFRP and the Association of Public & Land-Grant Universities (APLU) include $39 million for the McIntire-Stennis Cooperative Forestry Program, $460 million for the Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) and $16 million for the Joint Fire Science Program.
